Bala Desinghu, Ph.D., is a senior scientist at the Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC), Rutgers and holds an adjunct assistant professor appointment at the Department of Radiology, New Jersey Medical School, Rutgers. Previously, he served as a scientific computing consultant for the Open Science Grid (OSG) team at the Computation Institute, University of Chicago. His current research interests are focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods in genomics, drug discovery, digital humanities, structural biology, and medical informatics. He has expertise in scaling the computational tasks across multiple computing infrastructures including HPC, Grid, and Cloud Computing platforms.
