Joseph Patchett

Graduate Student, New Jersey Institute of Technology

I am Joseph Patchett, and I am a master’s student at NJIT under Dr. David Bader. I received my bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State. My research interests are in high performance computing, graph theory, data science, and machine learning. My current work is in a platform called Arkouda which is a scalable data science framework that combines an intuitive Python front-end and a powerful Chapel back-end. This abstracts complex parallel algorithms away from data scientists so they can work with massive data sets from their own personal machines. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and reading.
