Controlling the Chaos: Best Practices for Managing & Protecting Research Data

June 25, 2024 @ 10:00 am 11:00 am

Research data in Higher Ed institutions is unique and valuable and must be managed and shared appropriately.  NIH requires researchers to outline how they will manage and share their data. Research data can be highly sensitive, and developing appropriate data protection plans is crucial to a successful program. This session will teach you how to implement good data management practices, including how to prioritize and safe keep the most important data sets.  You will also learn how to shift from manual processes to automatically identify the classification, age, and usefulness of your data, and how to recover faster from any type of breach.
