Dr. George Avirappattu is an associate professor of mathematics at Kean University. His current research interest is applied machine learning and has recently published peer-reviewed articles on the topic. He teaches applied mathematics, statistics, and machine learning. Computational aspects involving data-driven problem solving are central to his pedagogy. He believes mathematics curricula across K-12 and beyond can be made more accessible, approachable, and intuitive by splicing them with computational aspects involving data. He is the founder of the Center for Data Analytics at Kean University.
