The New Jersey Big Data Alliance (NJBDA) is pleased to once again partner with UBS to offer an opportunity for students to participate in a Pitch Competition! The students who participated in this event last year were able to work with students from other New Jersey universities to solve real-world problems using big data and analytics and to be mentored by leaders at UBS. In addition, significant cash awards were made to the top three teams.

Do you have a passion for building creative solutions to key problems faced by the financial industry?
We are excited to bring to you a bigger and better UBS Pitch Competition this year – with more state participation and even more opportunities to collaborate!
UBS Pitch is a competition designed to provide undergraduate and graduate students, from participating universities in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Tennessee, an opportunity to collaborate and build innovative solutions to problems faced by the financial industry and government bodies. And, there is even the ability to take home cash rewards.
Students will have the opportunity to form teams of 2-5 members across participating states. Teams will submit a written proposal to problem statements pre-determined by UBS for a chance to be selected as one of the 6 finalist teams. These teams will be mentored by UBS leaders, providing them a chance to expand their professional networks.

Cash Rewards
Finalists will present their solutions to UBS judges and be eligible to win cash rewards!
1st place: $10,000
2nd place: $5,000
3rd place: $2,500
Mentorship Program
Finalists will have the opportunity to participate in a 5-week mentorship program with leaders across the firm to talk about ideas, gain useful insights and be inspired to take their projects to the next level.
