NJBDA Industry Summer Undergraduate Research Program

An exciting new summer undergraduate research program developed by the New Jersey Big Data Alliance (NJBDA) where teams of students, guided by academic and industry mentors, collaborate on data or AI-related research projects sponsored by companies and government organizations over an eight to ten week period during summer 2026.

NJ-RISE will assist sponsors to formulate projects, match their project leads with academic researchers from NJBDA member institutions, recruit talented research students, and provide support for mentors and students for a successful collaboration.

Program Goals

• Promote NJ research in big data and AI
• Foster collaboration between industry and academia
• Train undergraduate students to be successful future researchers
• Support NJBDA’s affiliate members in growing their organization
